A Man and His Scooter

Well, when I got back from NYC, Captain Hubby announced he wanted to purchase a scooter. He presented me with all his research on models, gas mileage, insurance costs, etc. I voiced my concerns about safety, but he was adamant that this was something he wanted to do in an effort to save gas and do his little part for the environment. I’m all for saving gas, money and the environment, but I am still not completely on board with the idea of the love of my life zipping around town among SUVs on this glorified bicycle, even if he has promised to ALWAYS wear his helmet. But, he’s a grown man and I’m not his mommy. I just send out a little prayer every time he leaves the house on it….

I have to watch you with your camera as I never know where I might wind up. As for my “glorified bicycle” I will share with your readers. Gets 98 miles to a gallon, top speed I have seen is 45 mph, I read that someone topped out at 69 miles per hour. (I’m not sure if that was with scooter falling off a cliff) and insurance is 12.33 a month. Not bad for local commuting with flair.

He sure looks happy on his new toy…my Captain use to have one too, a red one and we would zip around town on it and had lots of fun…it is so much cheaper than the car, just make sure he wears his helmet to keep that cute face safe!
best,

I hope my “Captain” doesn’t find out that those Scooters get 98 miles to the gallon….. or he’ll get ME one. :)
Take Care ~

I bet if you put a sail on it you’d get 69 miles per hour! Captain J looks very stylish…I hope the helmet color coordinates! Is there a cup holder? Seriously, 98 miles/gallon is amazing!!! I agree, for zipping around town it makes a lot of sense. Be safe and have fun!
