Rockport, MA 2010

After my time at Squam this year, I had the pleasure of spending a day in Rockport, MA with my good friend, Darlyne. We had a ball.
Started our morning with coffee (gotta love Starbucks’ new single instants!) right here at this table in front of our hotel ~ what a great view, eh? And the weather was gorgeous!

We watched this little guy busy at work on a Sunday morning…

Then we headed out to breakfast with a view (I didn’t photograph, duh). I had no idea New Englanders ate baked beans with breakfast. What a yummy discovery!
So my question is, how does every single place in one town get on board with cute & quaint? Somehow, this place did. Everywhere you loked…cute, cute, cute.

And the flowers everywhere!

The day went by in a blur of shopping and gorgeous views.

We stopped for a quick snap near the pirate ship.

Everywhere you looked…color & cute…..

Good thing I was flying the next day or I might have picked up too many treasures in these darling antique shops….

But I am still kicking myself for not buying this book….

Our feet tired, our wallets saying “Uncle”, we headed back to our hotel to enjoy a cocktail with the view before heading to dinner. The very, very old graveyard next door to our hotel added a touch of ambiance….

I love the motion in this shot. It was a nice moment.

And lastly, The One That Got Away. When I travel, I like to pick up a mug / cup and whenever I use it, it reminds me of that trip. I don’t always get one because I won’t just buy one for the sake of buying one. I have to love it. I loved this one in a shop window. A shop that never opened that day. We left too early the following morning to catch the shop open. So, I will have to be satisfied with this photo ::sigh::
